Hardware
Computer Hardware refers to the physical parts of a computer system that you can see and touch. These are the tangible components that work together to process data and perform tasks.
Examples of Computer Hardware
Input Devices – Used to give data to the computer. Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Microphone.
Output Devices – Show results from the computer. Monitor, Printer, Speakers.
Storage Devices – Store data permanently or temporarily. Hard Disk Drive (HDD), Solid State Drive (SSD), USB drive.
Processing Unit (CPU) – The “brain” of the computer that processes instructions.
Memory (RAM) – Temporary storage for active tasks and programs. Motherboard – Main circuit board that connects all components.
Power Supply Unit (PSU) – Provides electricity to all parts. Peripheral Devices – External accessories like webcams, external drives.
Hardware vs. Software
Hardware = Physical parts.
Software = Programs and instructions that tell hardware what to do.
